Incremental Change

A great advantage of using the web to create learning tools is the ability to make changes and additions incrementally.

The new look here and on the informL wiki is solely cosmetic; these are new "skins," available at the touch of a button. Were I developing a corporate application, I'd use skins to maintain a consistent, branded look.

There's a new item in the right margin of the Aggregator. These are my Delicious tags. Think of them as a shared Bookmark List on steroids. We're going to discuss tags in Session 4.

You might want to click around in my Del.icio.us Linkroll to get a feel for what this is. When I come upon a website I want to remember, I push "Remember This," a bookmarklet on my brower and the link is added to my Del.ico.us account -- and automatically posted to the Linkroll. (I used a handy tool at Del.icio.us to generate the code for this.) Imagine using this for bottom-up knowledge sharing!

I'm writing this note in the informL blog. This blog has become nothing more than a way for me to feed our aggregator. I could also have simply emailed this blog to get the same effect.

Testing the email post

The reason God was able to create the world in seven days was because He didn’t have an installed base.
